The wines
Piedra Luenga Fino has aged for two years under a flor veil made from the yeasts grown in our vineyard. A layer of lavender, poppies and wild clovers covers our earth and feeds our vines. The intriguing “solera” system mixes very old wines with younger wines thus mothering the young wines. An unique experience of maturity and freshness.
Piedra Luenga Cream is an organic wine produced from the careful blend of our Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez wines, which age together in American oak casks (butts). Bright and clean dark mahogany colour. Coffee, dry raisins and old wood aromas with nuances of nuts.
Caprichoso de Robles is a sweet organic young wine, a coupage of raisin Pedro Ximénez grapes and the fresh Verdejo grapes. The subtle carbon dioxide bubbles make CAPRICHOSO fresh, alive, fun and aromatic. Its wide range of fresh aromas of fruits, honey and flowers make us travel in the spring in the vineyard among herbs full of inflorescences and pollen.
The Robles family has been dedicated to wine making in Montilla (Southern Spain) since 1927. In the late 1990s, the third generation takes over the winery and understands the need to incorporate organic viticulture and work with indigenous yeasts into the tradition of the winery. Our approach is quite straightforward: grow the most intense and flavorful organic grapes that you can, guide the natural process and draw all the fruit’s richness into the wine. With the experience acquired over three generations, we have learned an important lesson: the more we care for land, the better our wine. And if awards have something to say something on the matter, it seems that we have achieved the objective: Agriculture and Fisheries Awards 2017 by The Andalusian Regional Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries; Best Organic Production in Spain in 2014
by The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment.
