Wine and music are overwhelmingly sensory. The brain understands the world by combining what it receives from the five senses. Can music change the way we appreciate wine? Can wine change the way we “hear” music?

Music, like wine, has a fascinating power: that of triggering very intense sensations on a single note. It is not surprising that this power is so strong as to provoke changes in the perception of taste. And vice versa.

“Aromas and Harmonies” is a sensory experience from the Vargas Blues Band and Bodegas Robles, a gift box with two wines specially selected by Javier Vargas to enjoy with his album “Del Sur”, which is also included.

Francisco Robles, third generation of the Robles family in charge of the winery, knows from experience that each wine is built like a song, where harmony is the sensations in the mouth and the melodic line its aromas. He has accompanied Javier Vargas in his journey to the world of wine.

The best journey we make is inside ourselves, where the aromas of the countryside, the humid earth and the flowers turn into wine and the soul is intoxicated with masterful musical notes with a taste of Latin blues. They are undoubtedly the best company!

The album “Del sur” is twelve sound journeys of the Vargas Blues Band across the paths of blues, flamenco or Latin. A sample is the recreation of the theme “Del Sur” with Juan Gomez “Chicuelo” and where electric and Spanish guitars are joined with masterful finesse. Javier Vargas is a reference of the international blues. His virtuosity has led him to share the stage and collaborations with legends such as Carlos Santana, Glenn Hughes, Raimundo Amador, Andrés Calamaro and Prince. Nearly three decades of his career include 24 studio albums, eight platinum albums, countless international tours, performances with the greatest and 300,000 albums sold.
